What are the best technology tools available for teaching and learning?
How do we use them to enhance student learning and achievement without diminishing what we hold as most valuable in a Lawrenceville education?
The AASL's "Best Websites for Teaching and Learning" is a great resource in accordance with [the AASL's] Standards for the 21st Century Learner, compiled annually by leaders in the education and information technology fields: http://www.ala.org/ala/mgrps/divs/aasl/guidelinesandstandards/bestlist/bestwebsites.cfm
An interesting article in today's Times on technology some colleges and universities are using to engage and monitor students in class: http://www.nytimes.com/2010/11/16/education/16clickers.html?_r=1&nl=todaysheadlines&emc=a23
I came across a very interesting presentation technology that transcends the linear page-by page format of Power point.
There is a link to a sample presentation below. indivudal accounts are free. It would be very helpful for spatial concepts that are difficult to relate. I keep thinking of explanations in calculus class way back when...
